Happy MLB Opening Day to all the Baseball fans here at FAA!

May all your teams have a great season and sorry they can’t all win the World Series

Please give us your thoughts/ personal affections for “America’s Pastime”.

Edit: "America's Game" depicts the game of baseball as about an All American a sport as you can find. Upon careful examination of this acrylic painting one realizes that the baseball, bat and glove are not of professional level but rather what would be used by sandlot players and one is transported back to the days when we all played the sport just for fun. And “ moneyball”, mega contracts and endorsements were not thought of in connection with our game - America's Game. America and baseball are forever linked together and that link is celebrated in my still life painting.

While I thoroughly enjoy minor league ball (been to 50+ different stadiums) I am no longer a fan of the majors. The pros are more about the dollars than the sport.

Actually I kinda made a mistake.. the movie I referenced with the quote was about an agent representing a pro football player not a baseball player but imho, the quote is pretty much associated with all pro sports today
